At Faith, Hope & Charity in Storm Lake, Iowa our mission is to provide quality care for children with special needs. We offer a Residential Program and a Community Service program to assist families who have a child with special needs. Our residential program is home to 32 children and is a licensed ICF/MR (intermediate care facility for children with mental retardation). Our Community Service program is designed for children with special needs that still live in their parental home. Through our Respite program, Supported Community Living Program, and Contract Services, Faith, Hope & Charity is able to meet the needs of parents coping with the demands of caring for a child with special needs. Faith, Hope & Charity’s ICF/MR Center and Community Services Center are more than buildings; they offer hope to parents of children with special needs. We understand the challenge of caring for a child with special needs and the difficulty of deciding if residential care is necessary. Here at Faith, Hope & Charity, parents find our residential program provides a caring, home-like atmosphere for their child. Our facility has four individual homes each consisting of a living room, eat-in kitchen, large bathrooms, and four bedrooms. You will also find a large indoor playroom and fenced in back yards. The Community Services Center is a new building consisting of a large multi-purpose room, the Gaffney Family television room, two bedrooms, a quiet room, and eat-in kitchen. More….
