Job Openings

Faith Hope & Charity has openings in entry level positions.
Direct Care positions include full time, part time and seasonal call-up positions.

Our Direct Care staff takes care of the physical, behavioral and emotional needs of the residents. These needs vary a great deal with the level of functioning of the children. Most of the Direct Care is done within the facility, although you will also accompany the children on recreation outings, med trips (trips to see the doctor), and other various outside activities,

Full time positions require persons who are willing to work variable schedules including split shifts and weekends. All Direct Care applicants must be at least 18 years of age and pass a DCI Criminal background check as well as a Child Abuse, Dependent Adult Abuse, and Sex Abuse Registry check. You will also be required to pass a post offer, pre employment physical. Full time benefits include Health, Life and Dental Insurance; Paid Time Off (PTO), Retirement Plan, Perfect Attendance Incentive, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), as well as a competitive salary and annual pay raises.

Part time openings are limited; however there may be some available that would fit your schedule. Part time persons do qualify for PTO, Prefect Attendance, EAP, and Retirement. Part time persons are not eligible for Insurance Benefits.

Seasonal Call-up staff are also very important to Faith Hope & Charity. Most of our Seasonal Call-up work is during the summer months. We require a lot of extra help during the summer due to our full Recreation schedule. When we are on recreation outings (Adventureland, the Zoo, Concerts, Okoboji, Day Camps etc) we staff on a one-to-one ratio.
Seasonal Call-up staff do not qualify for benefits other than our Retirement Plan (if they work 1,000 hours or more in a 12 month period)

Program Assistant positions are Seasonal Call-up positions. You can set your schedule with the supervisor and can be very flexible. Most of the work done is within the children’s homes, working with the children, as well as the families. This can be in the form of Respite Care as well as Supported Community Living. We also offer 2 Respite Weekends a month so some of the work will be at Faith, Hope & Charity in the Community Services Center. Respite Weekends are from Friday afternoons to Sunday afternoons and we require 24 hour staffing during that time.

Faith Hope & Charity also promotes from within whenever it is possible.

Faith, Hope & Charity is a wonderful place. Our son Alex is loved and cared for. I have the highest regard for the staff and administration.
