Nearly fifty Faith, Hope & Charity Auxiliary members brought presents
and a
bit of Christmas cheer to the special children at Faith, Hope & Charity
on
Friday, December 16th. The fun started at 1:00pm and wrapped up at 7:00pm
in
the Community Services Center.
In addition to opening presents, the children made crafts with their
Auxiliary member and listened to a trio of musicians from St. Mary’s
school
band perform.
The Faith, Hope & Charity Auxiliary began three years ago with the
very first Christmas party in December of 2003. The group has grown rapidly,
starting with just under 30 members, there are now nearly 50.
The mission of the Auxiliary is to benefit the special children at Faith,
Hope & Charity by remembering them during holidays and special occasions.
Many of the Auxiliary members have formed a special bond with the child
they
sponsor and include the child in their own family events. Faith, Hope& Charity considers the Auxiliary members an extension of the Faith, Hope& Charity family.
