Scarecrows, candy corn and carved pumpkins greeted the special children
at
Faith, Hope & Charity during their recent “Fall Festival”.
The November 11th
party was held inside the Community Services Center and children from
Faith,
Hope & Charity’s residential and community service programs
attended. The
children also invited family and friends to attend. The children competed
in
a cakewalk, learned new line dances, and enjoyed sweet treats. FHC Executive
Director Tom Daniels took to the turntables and became a DJ for the night.
The children and staff had fun doing the “YMCA”, twisting
away to Chubby
Checker and showing their country side with the “Hokey Pokey”.
Before the
night was over, a very competitive cakewalk took center stage. After
several anxious rounds of scurrying for a chair, 10 year old Rachel Todd
grabbed the last seat and grand prize- a home made chocolate cake! The “Fall
Festival” was made possible through the Faith, Hope & Charity
Recreation
Fund, which is supported through private donations. If you’d like
to help
make events like the Fall Festival possible, send in your donation in
the
enclosed envelope.
