AUXILIARY BRINGS CHRISTMAS JOY TO SPECIAL CHILDREN

Over forty fifty Faith, Hope & Charity Auxiliary members will bring presents and a bit of Christmas cheer to the special children at Faith, Hope & Charity on Friday, December 15th. The fun will begin at 1:00pm and go until 3:00pm.

The Faith, Hope & Charity Auxiliary was started four years ago with the very first Christmas party in December of 2003. According to Faith, Hope & Charity Development Director, Mary Sorenson-Ludwig, the party is a very special time of year for the children and the volunteers. “This event is more than an exchange of gifts. It’s a time when bonds are formed and the true spirit of Christmas is very obvious. The greatest gift exchanged here is one that can’t be put in a box.”

Each year, the children look forward to celebrating the Christmas holiday with the Auxiliary. “Many of the children we serve are excited for the party. They not only open gifts, but have a chance to visit with their Auxiliary sponsor and of course, Santa stops by!” commented Sorenson-Ludwig.

The mission of the Auxiliary is to benefit the special children at Faith, Hope & Charity by remembering them during holidays and special occasions. Many of the Auxiliary members have formed a special bond with the child they sponsor and include the child in their own family events. Faith, Hope & Charity considers the Auxiliary members an extension of the Faith, Hope & Charity family.

The 2006 Auxiliary Christmas party will be held in the FHC Community Services Center.
