Rainbow Path

In 1991 the Iowa Order of Rainbow for Girls, the Storm Lake Knights of Columbus and the American Legion of Iowa Foundation donated funds for construction of Rainbow Path. The recreational sidewalk winds through the grounds of FHC and offers a scenic view of the facility. The project cost nearly $20,000 to construct and is about a quarter-mile long. The special children we serve enjoy the Rainbow Path immensely. Whether the child enjoys walking, riding in a wagon, bicycling or going for a ride on the “afterburner”, every child utilizes the path. It not only serves as an outlet for exercise but leisure time as well.

We use the respite services for our daughter Abby through Faith, Hope & Charity. The respite weekends provide a fun and safe environment for her. She has friends to play with and a variety of activities to participate in. We can relax knowing she is at such a caring place.
